Ashley is very versatile, enthralling students from kindergarteners to adults with education on watershed protection, recycling, and composting.
Ashley has a Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. She joined FoodCorps for one year of national service with San Diego Unified School District, and developed a passion for teaching students about the benefits of fresh produce, where it comes from, and how to grow it. Through this experience, she found Solana Center, attended the Gardening 101 course, and became a certified Master Composter. In addition, she is the Senior Administrative Assistant at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, working on exhibits at the Infield Farm. She also has professional landscape architecture experience as a Landscape Designer at Spurlock Poirier Landscape Architects. Along with gardening, she loves to paint and travel.
