Jackie instills her enthusiasm for community and sustainability in every interaction with our passionate volunteers.
Jackie developed her passion for the environment amid the beautiful redwood forest of Northern California. In a small, environmentally conscious college town where she attended Humboldt State University, it was easy to ride the bandwagon of sustainability. But when she returned home to San Diego, she knew she would have to go the extra mile to keep her love for the natural world healthy and happy. She joined an intentional community and learned more about caring for the land and caring for community. She devoted herself to environmental education and inspiring the next generation to go that extra mile with her. First she worked as an educator for the San Diego Natural History Museum and for a summer camp in the wilderness of Maine.
She is very excited to have joined Solana Center's community of wonderful staff and volunteers making our county an environmentally smarter and kinder place.
