Naomi studied Architectural Engineering and Sustainable Built Environments at Cal Poly SLO. Naomi then came to San Diego and got her Master’s at Scripps Institute of Oceanography in Climate Science and Policy. Her professional background is in local government climate action planning and sustainability consulting. She has worked with Bay Area and San Diego local governments in quantifying and tracking greenhouse gas emissions and planning for greenhouse gas mitigation programs and policies.
Naomi became interested in working with Solana Center in order to implement solutions that would create sustainable cities. She believes that composting is a beautiful, regenerative practice- it is an undervalued practice, but the potential it has to heal the Earth drew Naomi to our work.
