Help us promote sustainable practices for San Diego ranches.

The Horse Heritage Festival, a horse lovers paradise, is hosted by the Equestrian Association each year to preserve the rural and equestrian lifestyle of San Diego's north eastern countryside.

Solana Center is bringing our expert waste management eyes to help educate and promote Earth friendly practices for ranchers. For the first time ever, we will host a booth on manure management! Rural San Diego is a big part of our County's sprawl, and with horses and farm animals dotting the back country, it is crucial we get these communities on board with sustainable soil and watershed practices. Help us engage, educate, and inspire as we set out to tackle this new ground.

At Horse Heritage Festival, you will assist with:

  • Setting up our booth
  • Sharing information about Solana Center
  • Sharing information about manure management
  • Packing up shop

Multiple Shifts Available:

  • 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • 11:30 AM - 4:00 PM

NOTE: Prior experience in manure management is not necessary to volunteer for this opporunity. Our expert educators will be there to support you the whole event.
