Get involved in our new and exciting Community Compost Program!

Solana Center Garden

Our Community Compost Program bins are cooking away and we need help building new piles. Immediately after our Bokashi workshop we will be revamping the piles with incoming materials.

This is a great opportunity to deepen your knowledge of Bokashi by attending the workshop and then getting hands-on immediately after! If you'd like to attend the workshop, register here.

In this event, you will assist with:

  • Moving compost materials
  • Prepping compost materials
  • Filling compost bins

Click on the 'Volunteer Now' button to sign up for a shift! Questions? Please email volunteer@solanacenter.org.

The Community Compost Program is a new co-op program where Encintats residents preserve their organic waste using the Bokashi method and then deliver it to Solana Center to be turned into a nutritious soil amendment and distributed back into the community. If you are interested in becoming a member, find out more here!
