Water Conservation Workshops

Water conservation is vital in our drought-prone region. Solana Center’s water conservation workshops focus on various ways to conserve, preserve, and protect our water. Topics include:

Rainwater Harvesting – The San Diego region is prone to drought conditions. Learn methods on how to collect rainwater from your roof to reduce runoff and reuse in your garden!

Greywater Systems - Learn greywater systems basics that include: how to divert greywater to the landscape, safe soaps to use, greywater state codes, appropriate plants to irrigate with greywater, and simple low-tech solutions.

Manure Management and Composting - Protect your local watershed and produce a fantastic soil product from horse manure. Composting is easy and inexpensive. Using composted manure on your garden and landscaping will help your plants thrive and conserves water, too!
