Wendy manages all Solana Center contracts.
Before working at Solana Center, Wendy spent over 20 years working at the City of Encinitas in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Information Technology (IT) in both supervisory and management roles. Along with a very capable team, she grew the City’s GIS program, data, and related applications, then oversaw and managed the City’s entire IT program, including various projects, contracts, budgets, and internal policies.
While her previous work was challenging and rewarding, Wendy always wanted to apply her knowledge and skills to help the environment and be in service to the earth and feels that that is her true calling.
Wendy has a BA in Journalism from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and a Master’s in Geography at San Diego State University. She is a big fan of biodiversity and environmental sustainability, and she loves to travel with her husband, hike, camp, dance, do yoga, continuously learn, meditate, and commune with nature.
