Positive childhood experiences in nature play a key role in developing environmental behaviors later in life. At Solana Seedlings, we aim to grow your child’s relationship with the natural world by stimulating their curiosity in living things, empowering them to take care of their planet, and perhaps most importantly, by having FUN in nature. Geared toward children aged 2-5, this program developed and lead by our expert educators will nurture your child’s appreciation of the world around them.
We invite children and their adult caretakers to join us in Solana Center’s garden for a morning of outdoor fun and learning. All children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the entirety of the program.
This month’s theme is "We Are Scientists!"
Our activities will include:
Circle Share: What is Science?
Backyard Zoologists
Seed and Leaf Sorting
Art : Drawing and Labelling Flowers
Experiment: How Many Bounces?
If the fee for this program presents a financial hardship for your family, scholarship opportunities are available thanks to funding from the Nordson Corporation Foundation. Email or call Kelsea at kelsea@solanacenter.org or (760)436-7986 x715 to find out if you qualify.
