Intro to Vermicomposting- In-Person Workshop- County of San Diego

Vermicomposting (worm composting) is an environmentally-friendly way to turn your food waste into nutrient-rich castings for your plants or garden beds. Learn how easy it is to start composting with red wiggler worms at this workshop.

 

Join Solana Center for this 30-minute workshop (plus time for questions!) at Dos Valles Garden Club, where you will learn the basics of vermicomposting. Using trial-tested advice and demonstrations, our experienced educators will share the many ways vermicomposting can benefit your garden and how to get started with a bin at home.

In this workshop, we will cover the following topics

  • Benefits of composting with worms
  • How to set up your own worm bin
