Assist one of our Solana Center educators during a 2-hour presentation about the basics of backyard composting and vermicomposting. Using trial-tested advice and interactive demonstrations, our expert educators will teach folks all they need to know to get started. Give your time and passion to spreading environmental education while you learn more about composting and how it can benefit your garden, home, and community.
In this event you will assist with:
- Setting up our presentation area (tables, chairs, info material, directional signage, etc.)
- Event sign-in
- Advancing PowerPoint slides or handling our flip chart
- Sharing props and visuals
- Packing up our presentation supplies
Volunteer Qualifications:
- Must be excited about sharing and/or learning about sustainability!
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be at least 16 years old (if under 18 must have parent supervision)
- Prior knowledge on workshop topic is helpful, but not required
