Water Wise Gardening Workshop in Potrero

Make a difference and help our community learn about building and maintain a garden that fits San Diego's semi-arid climate!

A group of people gathered outdoors at Solana Center's garden

Assist one of our Solana Center educators during a 2-hour presentation about the basics of water-wise gardening. Using trial-tested advice and interactive demonstrations, our expert educators will teach folks all they need to know to get started. Give your time and passion to spreading environmental education while you learn more about environmentally sound gardening techniques and how it can benefit your garden, home, and community.

** Potrero is a bit off the beaten path, so carpooling from SCEI is an option for anyone interested **

In this event you will assist with:

  • Setting up our presentation area (tables, chairs, info material, directional signage, etc.)
  • Event sign-in
  • Advancing PowerPoint slides or handling our flip chart
