Manure Management Booth at the Horse Heritage Festival

Reach out to our rancher community and help their manure management be earth friendly!

The Horse Heritage Festival is hosted by the Equestrain Association each year to preserve the rural and equestrian lifestyle of San Diego's north eastern countryside. Their 12th annual benefit event will be celebrated with pony rides, frontier games, arts & crafts, food, plant sales, and more.

Solana Center will be hosting a booth to educate the community on the importance of proper manure managment techniques to reduce waste, protect the environemnt, and utilize a valuable resource. Come talk horses and spread the compost love!

Rural San Diego is a big part of our County's sprawl, and with horses and farm animals dotting the back country, it is crucial we get these communities on board with sustainable soil and watershed practices. Help us engage, educate, and inspire as we set out to care for all corners of our County.

At this event, you will assist with:

  • Setting up our booth
  • Sharing information about Solana Center
  • Sharing information and resources about composting
  • Packing up shop

Multiple shifts available:
