Volunteers help our staff engage workshop attendees through our lecture and composting demonstrations, teach sustainable practices that support a healthy planet, and inspire others to adopt sustainable practices in their own lives. At this event, attendees will learn the basics and many benefits of raising chickens at home. From producing beautiful, high-quality eggs, assisting in keeping waste out of the landfill, to protecting your garden from pests – chickens have a lot to offer!

Volunteer support can also include the following:

  • Setting up / breaking down demo site
  • Advancing PowerPoint slides or flipping our educational chart
  • Engaging attendees in activities related to the lesson
