For the past decade, our long-running e-waste collection program has been the focus of our activities during our open-to-the-public hours at our headquarters in Encinitas. Now that our e-waste collection program has been stopped, we are adjusting our open hours and onsite activities to accommodate a pivot to our Climate Solutions Center programming. This will include our Tool Lending Library, Green Convene dishware rental, Green Living Tours, and Sustainability Shop. Please bear with us as we organize and plan for a reopening soon.

Please note the following adjustments:

  • We are offering appointments for online order store pick up, rain barrel sales, as well as Climate Solutions Center program rentals on Thursdays 10:00 am - 3:00 pm and Fridays from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. Please reach out to store@solanacenter.org or call (760) 436-7986 ext. 707 to coordinate.

Plastic Beach subscribers can drop off during these hours without an appointment.

Driving directions from I-5 North or South

  • Exit at Encinitas Boulevard and head east

  • Continue for 1.7 miles

  • Turn left onto El Camino Real

  • After 0.1 miles, turn right at first light (Via Molena)

  • Drive straight up the hill, past the Sheriff's Station, past the recycling bins, to the end of the long driveway
